| Project Description | A nest is a shelter designed to live away from danger. Usually made with organic materials such grass, leaves, twigs or simply is derived in a hole in the ground, a hole of a tree or crack in a rock. Generally each species has a distinct style of nest. A nest is built by birds but also fish, insects, mammals and reptiles. The emergence of prepare an area for the construction of a nest is referring to the instinct of survival of each species animal. The variation of this genotype has stimulated a research for a generic code. The concept of the nest was treated as a geometric variation of phyllotaxis and was wrote a VBnet Grasshopper script. Making changes to the variable "i" in the mathematica formula of the spiral: x = cos (i) y = sin (i) z = i we obtained the images shown here. |
